Admission Requirements and Student Placement
Prospective students must first complete an application form.
Applications can be submitted within one year of the proposed starting date.
Completed application forms, along with the student’s photo and specified documents, should be returned to the Admissions Office by mail or in person.
The admissions committee reviews applications based on criteria including age, availability of places, academic ability, English language proficiency (PreK and up), previous school records, availability of parental support, behavior, and maturity.
Families may be invited for an interview, and admission decisions will be communicated by mail, email, fax, or telephone.
Actual registration can take place after admission decisions, and families have a limited time to accept the offer.
Enrollment Interview and Assessment
All Pre-Kinder and Kinder students undergo a level assessment and individual interview for acceptance.
The assessment helps determine placement and the need for English-as-an-Additional-Language (EAL) or other specialized assistance.
Parents must participate in the enrollment interview to align educational beliefs and expectations with the school’s philosophy and programs.
Factors that contribute to acceptance depending on the year are:
Preschool :
Ability to separate from parents, social maturity, self-help skills, language ability, fine and gross motor skills and the current makeup of the class. Students must be able to toilet themselves independently.
Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten:
Ability to separate from parents, social maturity, self-help skills, language ability, fine and gross motor skills, academic ability and the current makeup of the class.
Students who are applying for PreK and up will sit for a language test.
that students must be in full-time residence with at least one parent or a legal guardian.
