Growing and Learning at Every Stage

At Horizon Japan International School Sendai Aoba, each class is designed to support children’s development through age-appropriate learning experiences, meaningful relationships, and opportunities for exploration.

As children grow, they develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and a lifelong love of learning in our English immersion environment.

Infants (1 Year Old)

A Gentle Start to Learning

Our youngest learners are introduced to school life through songs, stories, sensory play, movement, and daily routines. A nurturing environment helps children build trust, confidence, and early communication skills.

Toddlers (2 Years Old)

Exploring the World Around Us

Toddlers learn through active exploration and play. Children develop language, social skills, independence, and curiosity while engaging in hands-on learning experiences and meaningful interactions.

Preschool (3 Years Old)

Building Confidence and Communication

As children’s language skills grow, they begin expressing ideas, asking questions, and participating more actively in group learning. Literacy, creativity, and social development become an important focus.

Pre-K (4 Years Old)

Learning Through Discovery

Children strengthen their communication, literacy, numeracy, and inquiry skills through engaging projects and collaborative activities. They are encouraged to think independently and develop confidence in their abilities.

Kindergarten (5 Years Old)

Preparing for Future Success

Kindergarten students take on greater responsibility and independence as they prepare for elementary school. Through inquiry-based learning and meaningful experiences, they develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed for their next stage of learning.
