Hotter and Colder

This week we studied hot, hotter and hottest.

We started off in the morning by talking about the weather and how we felt (hot) then looked up todays temperature for osaka on the smart board.

After we practiced counting numbers over 20, we took our temperatures with some thermometers and the kids wrote up their names and temperature on the whiteboard. We compared who was hotter than who and discovered who was the hottest (Tasuku).

Next we used the new smartboard to play our mystery word game and figure out how to spell our new words from the way they sound.

After a short break we finished up the morning with a writing exercise and then had lunch, with just enough time for a game of musical chairs before half of the class went home.

The afternoon class made some flowers, food (yakitori) and a very long snake out of playdough then went up to the gym to exercise.

During the afternoon snack we started watching Captain Planet, but everyone agrees it is too scary and not as good as My Little Pony, so I will have to find us a new English language cartoon.

Before we all went home, we read some books, including Mr Plunkets Pool, Motainai Grandma and Why Dragons Like Tacos.

Have a good week! See you all next weekend!
