Review Week

This week we reviewed all of the topics we have covered so far. In the morning I asked the kids a few questions about the weather, their feelings etc. then we made a list of opposites. They remembered a lot!

Next we went over prepositions of place and played “wheres the monkey?”, then i gave the kids directions on how to make small block sculptures and challenged them to match the one I made.

After a small break, we played phonics bingo and then did a worksheet on comparatives and superlatives, with them listening to the words I wanted them to fill in the gaps and trying to figure out how to spell them.

After lunch we played musical chairs, red light green light and duck duck goose, then half of the class went home.

The kids who stayed worked on another worksheet using larger numbers to record their, height, weight, age and temperature.

After playing in the gym, we had our snack time while watching Thunderbirds (they liked that show a lot more than Captain Planet from last week) then read some stories, including The Fox on Socks, which was a big challenge for me, especially reading it upside down.

Next week we will start a new topic, focusing on asking and answering questions using Who, Where, When, etc.
