This week the class started focusing on the question words Who, What, Where, When, Why and How.

We first looked at how we had been using them in our morning routine already, for example “Where is Tasuku?” and “How do you feel today?” then worked on their phonetics and spellings.

During writing time we tried to find them in a word search, then made group pictures of people who we instead to describe by answering questions such as “how old is he?”. The kids found the worksheets quite challenging and and we didn’t manage to finish them; if you would look to finish them at home, that would be great, otherwise we will return for a second attempt at them next week.

After our usual games of duck duck goose, red light green light and musical chairs, most of the class went home. Those that stayed had an arts and crafts session with playdough, played in the gym and ate their snacks while watching Transformers and Fraggle Rock.

To finish off the day we read some stories. The kids are quite interested in trying to read the books by themselves now.
