Hello everyone!

Today’s lesson was the last before the holiday. There will be no class for the next three weeks; the first class after the holiday will be August 27th.

In the morning we continued on with our “who?” topic, learning three more professions (chef, artist and musician). We played our base ball game to practice their pronunciation and followed that up with the mystery word game to get to know their spellings.

During our writing time we combined the professions with the family members we had previously studied and wrote some statements about my family members jobs. based on a family tree I prepared. The kids did very well; they are finding it much easier to come up with their own answers, rather than simply copying the answer provided.

After lunch we played a few smart board games (body parts and professions vocabulary) as well as musical chairs and red light green light.

After the kids in the morning course left, we made our favourite foods, including some great ice-cream cones and donuts, out of playdough then headed down to the gym for some exercise.

To finish the day off, we read a few stories in the library.
