Dear families,<\/p>\n

Abroad’s annual Literacy Week is May 30 – June 3. This year, we want to make Literacy Week bigger and better than ever!\u00a0 We really want to promote literacy skills and the love of reading in\u00a0all<\/b>\u00a0of the school’s languages!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We have planned some special activities that we would like to inform you about.\u00a0 First, we would like to ask you to take a photo of your child reading a book.\u00a0 They can read a book in any language.\u00a0 The photo can be taken while reading with a friend, family member, or alone. It can be serious or silly.\u00a0 Please print your child’s photo on printer paper or photo paper and send it to school with your child’s name on it.\u00a0 We would like to have a picture of every student by Friday, May 27th.\u00a0 We will be displaying the photos on each floor in the entryway during Literacy Week.<\/div>\n

Next, we would like to invite guests to come to the classroom to read their favorite stories to the class.\u00a0 Guests can read in English or Japanese (Infants – Grade 5) and in Turkish (Grade 3-5).\u00a0 Please email your child’s teacher if you are interested in being a guest reader during Literacy Week.<\/div>\n

Third, we would like all of the parents to share in our Literacy Week learning.\u00a0 Each class will display a special project that the students created to help celebrate literacy.\u00a0 Parents are invited to come and see these projects.\u00a0 Here is the schedule and location for each class display:<\/div>\n

      Sevgili veliler,<\/p>\n

      Okulumuzun geleneksel edebiyat haftasini bu yil 30 Mayis ile 3 Haziran arasinda kutluyoruz. Bu yil daha onceki yillara gore daha buyuk ve daha kapsamli bir hafta gecirmek istiyoruz. Edebiyat haftasinda okulumuzun butun dillerinde okumayi sevdirmek ve edebiyat yeteneklerimizi gelistirmek icin aktivitelerimiz olacak. Bu aktiviteler hakkinda size bilgilendirmek istedik.<\/p>\n

      Ilk olarak cocugunuzun kitap oukrken bir fotografini cekmenizi istiyoruz. Bu kitap herhangi bir dilden olabilir. Bir arkadasiyla, bir aile uyesiyle veya yalniz cekebilirsiniz. Dogal, ciddi hatta komikce olabilir. Daha sonra normal bir kagida veya fotograf kagidina cikti alip cocugunuzun ismini uzerine yazarak okula gondermenizi rica ediyoruz. Butun ogrencilerden 27 mayis a kadar resimleri teslim etmelerini bekliyoruz.<\/p>\n

      Bu resimleri edebiyat haftamiz boyunca her katin girisinde sergileyecegiz.<\/p>\n

      Bir sonraki aktivitemiz velilerimize yonelik. En sevdiginiz hikayeyi hafta boyunca gelip okulda ogrencilerimize okumanizi talep ediyoruz. Turkce 3 ,4, ve 5 inci siniflar icin \u00a0Ingilizce infantsdan 5. sinifa kadar veya Japonca okuyabilirisiniz. Katilnak isterseniz lutfen sinif ogretmeninize mail ile bildiriniz.<\/p>\n

      Ucuncu olarak velilerimizin edebiyat haftamizda ogrendiklerimizi gormesini istiyoruz bu nedenle velilerimizi her sinifin hazirlayacagi ozel edebiyat projelerini gormek uzere , okulumuza davet ediyoruz. Gunler asagida belirtilmistir.<\/p>\n

      Son olarak evinizde bulunan Turkce, Ingilizce veya Japonca kitaplardan ihtiyaciniz olmayanlari ogrencilerimizin faydanlanmasi icin kutuphanemize bagislamanizi rica ediyoruz. Guzel kullanilmis veya yeni kitaplarinizi hafta boyunca gondererek bircok cocugun faydalanmasini , farkli hikayeler okumasini saglabilirsiniz. Simdiden bagislariniz icin tesekkur ederiz.<\/p>\n
