Kindergarten went to the Higashiyama Zoo! And we had a blast! While we were at the zoo, we learned about different types of plants that we saw in the animals’ habitats, and our students were able to make connections from previous units on communities! They were able to understand how plants are/can be very important to not just human environments and communities, but also to other animals. This is also their home! Despite the weather, we all had a great learning experience and we were very excited to come back to school and talk about what we learned.
