PreK went to the Electricity Museum in Fushimi, only a short walk from the school, for our field trip this month. We were given two demonstrations ; the first was about how to make electricity using a coil and magnet, and a magnet using a coil and a battery. This concluded with the children in two teams trying to make more electricity than the other using handheld generators. The other demonstration was holding hands in a circle to feel a very small electric shock. Elsewhere the children had lots of fun pushing buttons, riding bicycles, stamping on bugs, having their photo taken. Everything powered with electricity of course. The gallery was not found!
